Overall Luxe Pick: Black Tie by CELINE
I don’t think there’s a fragrance better suited for Taurus season — Black Tie by CELINE is pure sexual ambience and quiet sophistication. It’s indulgent but never obnoxious, the kind of scent that makes people lean in a little closer.
It features notes of white orris butter, cedar, tree moss, vanilla, and musk. The projection is medium; it’s not loud, but it lingers just enough to be intriguing. I get around six hours of wear, with soft traces that cling beautifully to skin and fabric. It leans heavily vanilla: sweet, smooth, and a little powdery, with musk that keeps it grounded and intimate. One of my absolute favorites, it feels expensive, warm, and effortlessly elegant.
For when you want to be sensually put together — think cozy cashmere sweaters, lace lingerie, and a glass of something golden.
Budget Pick: Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums
For something equally indulgent but much more grounded, I recommend Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums. It’s lush, sensual, warm, and just perfectly divine. Personally, I think figs and pomegranates are the ultimate symbols of luxury and abundance. It only felt right to include a fig fragrance here.
Modeled after a sun-soaked day beneath fig trees, this scent by perfumer Nathalie Lorson features notes of fig, mandarin, clementine, freesia, orange blossom, black tea, Virginia cedarwood, sandalwood, and benzoin.
It opens with a sharp, bright citrus that softens as it dries down. The fig becomes more pronounced, with a subtle creaminess that likely comes from the sandalwood. It eventually settles into something woody and grounded. I don’t pick up on the tea note much, but that might be a personal thing.
Like other scents in the Essential Parfums line, wear time is solid, around six hours. There’s something deeply calm and rooted about this fragrance — like a luxurious afternoon spent reading and napping in a the grounds of a palace.

Aromatic
If you're looking to feel particularly aligned with the Venusian elements of the season, look no further than Ethereal Wave by Liis (luxe pick). This fragrance is beautiful, dazzling—think emeralds, diamonds, and a few pearls catching sunlight. There’s something almost liquid about it, like silk in motion. Notes include bergamot, cardamom, white tea, black tea absolute, blonde woods, and velvet musk. On me, it leans heavily on white tea and musk, with the tea keeping everything light and airy. The projection is incredible; it’s one of my most complimented fragrances and wears for about four to five hours. It’s the perfect offering to appease Venus. And if you're lucky, she might just bless you with an abundance of beauty.
Rabbit Rabbit by Pearfat might not sound like a Taurus scent by name, but this affordable pick is a total standout. It’s nuanced and compelling, bright and sharp, yet still grounding. With notes of juniper and turmeric; a heart of carrot cake and apricot; and a base of barley and galangal, it’s modeled after carrot cake but leans more sharp than sweet. The wear time is exceptional, easily lasting eight hours. It’s unexpected, clever, and quietly indulgent—like a Taurus in disguise.

Boozy
What’s Taurus season without indulgence? And there’s nothing more indulgent to a Taurus than an evening of luxury dining and drinks in a beautiful restaurant. That’s exactly what L’ivrée Bleue by Ormaie (luxe pick) seeks to embody. Inspired by the exoticism of Gauguin and the jungle themes of Rousseau, it’s unequivocally Parisian chic—pure sensuality. The sculptural bottle nods to the brand’s artistic roots and looks stunning on any vanity. It’s romantic, warm, and deeply sensual. Notes include rum, mandarin, and lily; a heart of violet and orris; and a base of vanilla, patchouli, benzoin, and cacao. Like other fragrances from the line, the projection is exceptional, and the wear time sits comfortably at about eight hours. It’s the perfect scent to start—or end—your evening.
If you're after that same raw Taurus sensuality, Tobacco 1812 by West Third Brand (affordable pick) is a standout. Uniquely warm and unapologetically overpowering in a way only a bull can be, it’s an intoxicating blend. Notes include sweet dried tobacco leaf, aromatic spices, and rich honey muddled with cocoa, tonka bean, tobacco flower, and a layer of dried fruit and exotic woods. It’s bold, grounded, and impossible to ignore.

Citrus
Tauruses go deep. They’re more layered—and that’s exactly what Agua De Santos by House of Bō (luxe pick) embodies. A luxe, compelling citrus with notes of vetiver, neroli, lime, kumquat, cedarwood, thyme, lavender, and angelica musk. It opens clean, green, almost dewy and aquatic. As it dries down, brighter citrus notes emerge—the kumquat and lime bursting through before settling into a soft, heavenly finish. It’s full of nuance, far more dimensional than your typical citrus. The bottle is topped with blue quartz for positivity—a perfect example of simple, quiet luxury.
Tauruses belong in luxury, whether it’s beautiful clothes, opulent homes, or stunning vacations. Dolce Amalfi by Parfums Berdoues (affordable pick) smells exactly like the latter. It’s a warm summer day with poolside service on the Italian coast—a spritz in one hand, a book in the other. With notes of Italian lemon, Indonesian patchouli, Virginia cedarwood, and vanilla, it’s deeply wearable. A grounded, woody citrus—rooted in calm confidence and effortless indulgence.

Floral
Himitsu Violets by Régime des Fleurs captures the sensual stillness of Taurus—the kind that feels like velvet throws, slow mornings, and violets blooming in filtered light. This is my luxe pick for the Taurus who leads with elegance and emotion. With notes of muguet, heliotrope, violet, saffron, tolu balsam, and suede, it’s powdery, creamy, and quietly seductive—vintage in spirit but modern in feel. It projects beautifully, with a strong sillage for the first few hours, then softens into a more intimate scent cloud around the five-hour mark. Romantic, introspective, and effortlessly adorned.
Icila Maison by Maison Louis Marie (affordable pick) is a fruity floral with grounded elegance—capturing all the playful charm of Taurus, balanced with its quiet practicality and unwavering nature. With notes of ruby pamplemousse, mandarin leaf, jasmine, Bulgarian rose, dark plum, osmanthus, patchouli, vanilla flower, and sakura blossom, it opens bright and juicy, then softens into a lush floral heart. The rose and osmanthus blend beautifully with the grapefruit, creating a sweet, candied floral, but not syrupy. It’s more like a bowl of ripe fruit beside a fresh bouquet. Joyful, polished, and just a little indulgent—very Taurus.

Fruity
Poets of Berlin by Vilhelm Parfumerie (luxe pick) is the epitome of money, power, and quiet glory. It’s dripping in passion and expensive glamour—the kind of scent that enters the room before you do. With notes of blueberry, lemon, green wild orris, vanilla, sandalwood, and vetiver, it opens with a bold blueberry-lemon brightness that might sound playful, but it’s quickly grounded by smooth vanilla and a drydown of vetiver and sandalwood. There’s even a soft, boozy warmth that emerges over time—subtle, not syrupy. It wears beautifully for around eight hours, with excellent projection. Decadent, commanding, and just the right amount of mysterious.
401 Cedar, Candied Plum & Vanilla by Bon Parfumeur (affordable pick) is a more grounded take on fruity glamour—like glamping with Troop Beverly Hills energy. The candied plum hits first, sweet and noticeable, before softening into a warm, earthy blend of cedar and vanilla. It wears closer to the skin, making it more discreet than dramatic, but it still holds a quiet charm. Less about commanding attention, more about soft luxury—perfect for the Taurus who doesn’t need to try too hard.

Green
Taurus thrives in beauty, but it’s a beauty that’s grounded in nature and myth — Fantôme de Maules by Stora Skuggen captures that perfectly. Inspired by the legend of a ghostly figure haunting the Swiss woods, it blends earthy notes like oakmoss, vetiver, and sandalwood with sharper touches of bergamot, galbanum, and coriander. The result is something both sensual and spectral—inviting you into a deep, enchanted stillness. Taurus isn’t just about soft fabrics and luxury hotels—it’s also candlelit forests, green leaves underfoot, and ancestral memory.
Eau Matcha by Montage is the scent of serene indulgence—the kind of green fragrance that feels both grounded and elevated. It’s my affordable pick for the Taurus who craves quiet luxury, a walk through spring greenery with a warm breeze at their back. Notes include fig, matcha tea, cedar, orange, and vetiver. The matcha is creamy and soft, the fig subtly sweet, and the vetiver brings a rich, earthy depth. It’s warm, fresh, and impossibly calming—like early morning light filtering through linen curtains. A true mood elevator with projection that rivals scents three times the price. Thoughtful, comforting, and quietly captivating.

Leather
Résidence d'Artistes by Les Bains Guerbois is the embodiment of Taurus creativity. Think Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring, Eugène Delacroix—all iconic Taurus artists. This is my luxe pick for artists. The leather is subtle but unmistakable, layered with notes of bergamot, mandarin, and peach; a heart of jasmine, violet, and papyrus; and a base of sandalwood, leather accord, and musk. It conjures the image of a beautiful room with wood crown molding and walls lined with exceptional works of art—pieces that belong at Sotheby’s. Deep, brooding, and quietly luxurious. The bottle is clean, minimal, and effortlessly sophisticated.
For something a little more on-the-nose and sensual, look to Black Leather by J-Scent (affordable pick). It smells like leather and fishnets—like a soft little power play. With notes of leather, bergamot, tobacco, jasmine, oakmoss, amber, musk, and vanilla, it’s bold without being overbearing. It wears beautifully for about eight hours, and if you're lucky, it smells even better the next day on your lover’s clothes.

Powdery
Now, a powdery scent might not seem the most Taurus—but Fleurs d'Été by Bienaimé (luxe pick) isn’t your typical powdery floral. With lingering almond notes and a touch of white chocolate, it’s soft without being saccharine. The art deco packaging makes it an exceptional find—undeniably glamorous, something you can’t stop looking at. But what makes this scent feel distinctly Taurus is the energy it emulates: a lush bouquet, almost overflowing. Notes include bergamot, orange bigarade, white lilac, Madagascar ylang, Egyptian jasmine, white chocolate accord, almond, vanilla, sandalwood, benzoin, and white musk. It’s the powdery scent you didn’t know you’d love, mostly thanks to that white lilac and musk.
For something a bit more casual, Lefko by Korres (affordable pick) has a similarly soft, powdery vibe but feels more grounded—more Saturday afternoon after the farmers market. Notes include lily of the valley, rose, peony, white sandalwood, powder, and musk. It’s less decadent than Fleurs d'Été but still lovely, and like most Korres fragrances, the projection is surprisingly solid for the price—expect around 4–5 hours on bare skin.

Spicy
Looking for unapologetic luxury with a warm, spicy twist? Look no further than Rock the Myrrh by Dries Van Noten. My luxe pick. The bottle is too beautiful to be casually displayed, and the scent is too good to go unnoticed. Notes include pink pepper, myrrh, patchouli, suede, and cypress. Overall, it pulls quite ambery—a warm and sensual spice. With that amber comes a sweetness, but it usually appears a few hours into the dry down. It’s earthy, spicy, and undeniably captivating. It’s the part of Taurus that everyone envies for its exceptional beauty. Seriously, Dries Van Noten has some of the best perfume bottles on the market.
If you're looking for a similar vibe but a bit sweeter, try Torn by Henry Rose (my affordable pick). Notes include freesia and muguet, rose, violet, jasmine, musk, vanilla bean, and sandalwood. The vanilla does come through quite strongly, so it’s not a 1:1 match, but the energy is still very similar. Transparently, I do wish the projection was a bit better—but with layering, I think it does the job. Paired with an incense-heavy perfume, this could be a real smoke show. Perfect for a luxurious evening as sensual as a Taurus.

Woody
Oud Immortel by Byredo is all of the most devilishly charming parts of a Taurus bottled into one. It opens with incense and cardamom, then transitions into a heart of Brazilian rosewood, papyrus, and patchouli. The base rounds things out with moss, tobacco leaves, and oud. It’s warm and layered. The projection is solid at first, then softens into a closer-wearing skin scent after a couple of hours. On clothes, I’d say it lasts around five hours before a touch-up might be needed. Of all the Byredo scents, this is one of the better performers — a little sneaky, a little devilish, and very Taurus.
Bois Impérial by Essential Parfums, affordable pick, is a beautifully compelling wood-forward scent that feels confident without being overpowering. It features Akigalawood, Thai basil, black pepper, freesia, vetiver, Georgywood, patchouli, and Ambrofix. It’s fresh, spicy, and just a little unexpected. It’s the embodiment of a bull’s horns: commanding, blunt, and a bit wild — yet still grounded in elegance. It opens with a sharp hit of black pepper and a brightness that almost reads citrusy, likely from the vetiver. As it dries down, the Akigalawood comes through and adds richness. Over time it becomes more nuanced and earthy. Just one spray is enough to catch attention.
